And a lot of inspired excavating, oh my!

Taking out the Garden {part 1}

This wonderful garden space has provided us with so much fresh produce. We have grown garlic, potatoes, pumpkins, tomatoes, culinary and medicinal herbs, fresh cut flowers, corn, beets, broccoli and so much more. But, we have also been hosting some AMAZING weddings.
So the wire all came down and we pulled out the posts.
We rolled up the wire to save for another garden, in a different space…
And we stacked the posts…for another project, another day.
Everyone helped…and one day soon we will have a lovely, large flat open space next to the house because Wedding Season (oh yes, it is a season around here!) is just around the corner….

Molly’s Soap

Local Artisan: www.MollysSoap.com
@Spring Creek Ranch

We feel so lucky to have connected with our local soap maker and are now able to stock the Ranch House and Cabins with her lovely, handmade bar soap. Molly of www.MollysSoap.com has been making homemade soaps with local ingredients here for years and I am delighted that we are able to offer our guests such a fine product.

This first batch that we have received from her includes lavender and calendula- so sweet!

(at) Grandma & Grandpa’s

Amazing how some new views and a different rhythm to the day can refresh you! Now that we are back home I can’t get these images out of my mind, so I thought that I would share some more. Funny how I couldn’t find a single picture of Grandma Louise and then I realized, (of course!) she was working double time to feed all of the cousins! Thank you, Louise and Gary for sharing your special home with us.

Touch Of Tuesday

Spring Break
@ Cherry Springs Ranch
For many people “Spring Break” conjures up images of palm trees, beaches or maybe even a margarita (dare I say- or two?). Our Spring Break at Grandma Louise and Grandpa Gary’s has been full of mud, wind, cows and baby calves … and we are oh, so grateful for every minute.

:: Bottle feeding our new friend, Amos.
:: laughing with cousins.
:: Loving mothers vigilantly watch-
:: and the Niece Toss is ON!
