Spring Creek Ranch was flooded with fiddlers and spectators, young and old, from far and wide at the 13th annual North Cascades Oldtime Fiddle Contest. Rumor has it, this years event drew the largest crowd in the history of the event and by all sage accounts, the venue worked beautifully.

There was music, there was fresh Mexican food, locally pressed cider and t-shirts for sale. Children and adults roamed our 60 acres freely, observing salmon and wandering our trails. Everyone enjoyed soaking in the cool water running around the green lawn. I never saw anyone swim in the pond, but I know that I thought about it!
A special thanks to Richard Hart, President of the Shafer Museum and to the North Cascades Oldtime Fiddle Contest organizers, Brad Pinkerton and Eileen West.
